The bluegill half is correct...
It's not easy to tell from the pic, but it has a light (white/yellow) edge on its "ear" and also on some of its fins if that gives anyone a clue. If not, I'll probably just tell you the answer

looks like bluegill x longear resulted into eartheater looking sunfish

Correct. The strange face isn't directly a result of the cross I don't think. Probably 1 per 1000 have the weird shape to them. Most have the normal bluegill shape but with light edging on the "ear" and fins like a green, there are always just a few oddballs in the bunch that have deformities. Another pretty common shape to them is being short-bodied with an upward kink in the spine about half way back. The guy behind him is a normal bluegillXgreen cross (and the guy in the way back is a red ear)
