I used to have an 18" fish but unfortunately he managed to break the cover glass and end up on the floor while I was away....... It always happens when you are away........ My experiences with the fish vary alot..... If you have them in with any timid fish, big cats or peacefull cichlids they will chase, harrass and rasp on their bodies until they weaken and die..... On the other hand if you have them in with a small no of aggresive fish eg Midas etc they are all bark and no bite.... they tend to pick on timid and or big slow fish that cant fend them off eg RTC's etc
Personally I love the fish but they can be such a pain in the ass.......
On another note I came into the fish house one night to find my current fish dried up on the ground... dead right ? wrong... I held him in front of the outflow in a net for an hour and hey presto after a week it was 100% I have never seen a fish as resilliant... same fish dofferent story... jumped out of tank with coverglass on... landed in tank below with 24" hemibagrus wyckii...... wyckii bit off most of sharks tail... I came in to find shark.... rescued him placed him in a tank... 6 months later you would never know he was injured.... I call mine David after David Copperfield lol
He now resides in a 6'x2'x2' on his own with 2 bricks on the cover glass

Wow thats a impressive fisharapaimag;1860308; said:Hey,
Was able to get a few pics of the 26" black shark.
They are not great pics (terrible camera and even worse photographer). It does not do him justice and his size is hard to get a perspective on. The tank is more than 225 gallons and is 4 foot long a little over 24" deep and it is 4'6" wide. A weird shape but I built 2 that size to fit under an 800.
I agree with your observations of their aggressiveness.
