The Hemibagrus wyckii (Mystus wyckii) is an awesome fish. I've only had one that was "The toughest catfish in the world" and could not be kept with other fish. The other 2 adults have never shown the least bit of aggression. One is in the 15k which you saw on the april 16 video. That one has a home in a piece of bogwood about 10 feet from the closest south glass panel and about 13 feet from the closest west glass panel. It might be nasty in that area which I can't see well ( The piece of wood is about 4 feet by 3 feet) but has never shown the least any animosity when in a group of fish eating.
The larger one is in the 52k and has never been aggressive an prefers to hid in caves and all ways at the bottom 9 foot deep level. I have not seen the fish for about 2 or 3 years. but because the tank is big and there is about 28,000 lbs of rock the same thing has happened in the past.
My baby wyckii is in a 180 gallon tank it is probably about 15 inches sl 17 inches tl. It was in with a 18 Boulengerochromis microlepis and had a tussle on one occassion in about a 5 month period.
Thanks for posting pix and info on your Wyckii, they are such a great fish.
And Boulengerochromis is such a stunning cichlid, well worthy of the name Emperor.
