Inwall 430gl Plywood Tank Build

1/2" will bow. I have a 30" tall 300g tank with 1/2" and it bows pretty bad.

ok, from where the top of the water level will be to the bottom of the glass will be max 28" and 82" wide so 1/2 probly not best, maybe 5/8 or 3/4 then.

Yeah that's why I had mine upgraded to 3/4".. Glad I did now. The bow would drive me crazy.

I couldnt not find a acrylic dealer anywhere around my area, so i broke down and wrote a check for 1/2" tempered glass. $405 for the glass and them to bring it out and put it inside the tank. that hurt. lol..
there isnt anything wrong with me using tempered is there?

edit: they should have the glass in by next friday, the thickest they carried was 1/4".

Should be fine. It's stronger. Just don't ever try to put a hole in it.

in california acrylic is easy to find i n any almost any tickness as long as the max size is 8'x4'

most of the questions that you have asked i would ask someone that has knowledge in the field or at least an engineer--i would not rely on suggestions and comments from a blog--the people giving you comments may not have a clue
