Yes, older female can have a slight hump, but a 9" male without much hump, he is a poor quality GT. Get rid of him. The op GT has color of a male, but profile of a female. In sexing GT, profile is more reliable than color. It can be either sex, but I am leaning towards female. I am speaking from instinct, having Kept and bred GT for a decade.It also looks like the fish had long dorsal extentions that have been bitten off.

In a harem of females with no other male cichlids the hump was not needed.Nor did I want it,I think they are ugly.
