What are the tank dimensions for your tank?

my dimensions on the 450 are 8'x3'x2.5'.

Also I re did my test as I just noticed that u could change the size of the fish using the juvenille size option and this is what I got for:

3 x 17" Silver Aros
2 x 13" Pbass Ocellaris
3 x 12" ID sharks
1 x 14" RTC
1 x 14" TSN/RTC

Warning: Peacock Bass Ocellaris is not recommended for your tank - it may eventually outgrow your tank space, potentially reaching up to 25 inches.
Warning: Red Tailed Catfish is not recommended for your tank - it may eventually outgrow your tank space, potentially reaching up to 60 inches.
Warning: Red Tailed Catfish requires a tank with more height.
Warning: Iridescent Shark is not recommended for your tank - it may eventually outgrow your tank space, potentially reaching up to 36 inches.
Warning: At least 5 x Iridescent Shark are recommended in a group.

Recommended temperature range: 24 - 26 C. [Display in Farenheit]
Recommended pH range: 6.4 - 7.5.
Recommended hardness range: 5 - 15 dH.

You have plenty of aquarium filtration capacity.

Your aquarium filtration capacity for above selected species is 356%.

Recommended water change schedule: 21% per week.
Your aquarium stocking level is 74%.

The 3 x ID sharks and a RTC/TSN will be added to the 450g later as I just did an estimate on their size with the test. They are all 6"-7" currently and I'm just growing them out before I add them.

3" flagtail porthole x2
3" royal pleco x2
3" asian bumblebee
2" debauwi cat x10
2" frontosa
2" gold severum
10" gold severum

Site doesnt factor in size of fish
It should factor in the size if you use "juvenile mode"... I suppose the above % didn't use this, correct?

Warning: Your selected species may eventually require 1782% of your aquarium space. You may need to deal with territorial aggressions later on. Try removing some of (Notopterus Chilata, Mastacembelus erythrotaenia, Sorubim lima, Phractocephalus hemioliopterus) or get a larger aquarium tank.

Recommended temperature range: 24 - 27 C.
Recommended pH range: 6.4 - 7.2.
Recommended hardness range: 5 - 15 dH.
I never knew a lima would be too big for a 150...lol
I'm sure volume calculation code is correct - not much room for it to go wrong there... Many manufacturers are wrong with their quoted volumes though. They often take external dimension which doesn't reflect how much water it can hold.

Lima is currently marked as 16.5 inch species. I use the general formula of 4 times the length and 1.5 times for the depth and add exceptions for those that don't fit for larger species. Is this one of those cases?

So what do you think of the stocking level it reports given their sizes? Trying to get some feeling on the accuracy when juvy mode is used.

For some reason when i try and do user defined flow rate for filter it keeps dropping to 0 when i hit 'update'. So my filtration is 0%!!!:nilly:

Juvenile sizes system is great! I'm now down to 74% stocked from but it still tells me i'll be 566% overstocked when they're fully grown so i now know i'll need to build 5.5 to 6 times larger for next build which is useful:)

Good work.

Ack, looks like I broke that feature again... :irked: Thanks for reporting.
Oh and by the way, that field is not for flow rate, it is to specify the filtration capacity as quoted by the manufacturer. Flow rate alone is not enough to calculate the filtration capacities.

how would i put my info in there. i have a 825 gallon tank and i have a pump and filter that does 5200 gallon per hour and is recommended for a 7500 gallon pond so im intrigued to see what it would say as far as water changes go. i have a 20 rtc a 16 hybrid rtc a 15 inch orange catfish (2) 14 inch marble cats. since i have so much over kill i wasnt planning on doing much water changes as it is a huge body of water and taking water and adding water to it is a pain in the ass. here is a link to check it out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JmLlyFjl95U

Warning: Dourada is not recommended for your tank - it may eventually outgrow your tank space, potentially reaching up to 74.8 inches.
Warning: Dourada requires a tank with more height.

Note: Red Bellied Pacu likes to shoal in a group when they are juveniles.
Warning: Red Tailed Catfish is not recommended for your tank - it may eventually outgrow your tank space, potentially reaching up to 60 inches.
Warning: Tiger Shovelnose Catfish is not recommended for your tank - it may eventually outgrow your tank space, potentially reaching up to 41.3 inches.
Warning: Iridescent Shark is not recommended for your tank - it may eventually outgrow your tank space, potentially reaching up to 36 inches.
Note: Adonis Pleco needs driftwood.
Note: Common Pleco needs driftwood.
Warning: Your selected species may eventually require 554% of your aquarium space. You may need to deal with territorial aggressions later on. Try removing some of (Piaractus brachypomus, Phractocephalus hemioliopterus, Platystoma tigrinum, Acanthicus adonis, Pterygoplichthys pardalis) or get a larger aquarium tank.

Recommended temperature range: 24 - 26 C. [Display in Farenheit]
Recommended pH range: 6 - 6.8.
Recommended hardness range: 5 - 15 dH.

Your aquarium filtration capacity for above selected species is 0%.
Recommended water change schedule: 74% per week. (You might want to split this water change schedule to two separate 49% per week)
Your aquarium stocking level is 270%. [Generate Image]
Your tank is seriously overstocked. Unless this setup is temporary, you should consider a larger tank.

Question: First i'd like to point out this is not an actual, it's a theoretical tank! Was just using the dimensions of the 1000gal to work out what i'd require for if the fish were fully grown. First it's saying i'll require 554% of the aquarium space currently input, but then it's saying i'm only 270% over stocked (which is the same thing isn't it?) So why are the 2 numbers different?

Sorry if you've already covered this on a previous post.
