Is your tank overstocked, are you setting up a tank, check this out everybody!

Just to give you a better idea on how AqAdvisor.com works. Initially, a species (requested from a user) gets added to DB but based on my own research on the profile sites and forums. Often, this is not 100% accurate. Even profile sites are not consistent. Once added, users can try out their own species and they will let me know if it is in line with their expectations or not. If not, I fine tune attributes for the particular species until the result looks right. Once tuned, next user who selects the same species will benefit from this result.

The key thing here is the feedback from experienced users. I am NOT familiar with large new world cichlids and never kept them during the 7 years of my hobby. Once the problem is identified, DB is designed flexible enough that I can fix individual species bioloads and compatibility issues.

I'd appreciate to those who can provide some feedback, both +ve and -ve ones.

Thanks! :D

Heres a bit of feedback.

If you could figure out how to add sponge filters, do so.
Tiretrack eels need to be added, along with other species of spiney eel.
Larger tank sizes need added.
Vieja species needs added.
Also for new users,..perhaps provide information on how they could raise or lower thier pH.

Thats all I can think of for now.

That would help out if this site can calculate the surface area on different types of bio media. I am using ehiems bio media and sera siporax.

The only ones I have there are Hydro-sponge models. Do you have other ones in mind? If you could provide manufacturer URL, I could add those.

Looks like that species is in the DB already, but spelled "Tyre Rack Eel". Is this a misspell? If you could provide the exact names for other spiney ones, that would help me a lot.

Yeah I figured this would come out when my site gets exposed to this forum. LOL. :D

Will definitely look into them.

Vieja species needs added.
Will look into those as well.

I do have a link to an article that talks about not messing with tap water pH and what needs to be done if you must change pH. I do admit it is targeted for beginners.

Good point. Not sure how to quantify this though. It would be interesting to find out which media the manufacturer used when they quote the filtration capacity.

Your aquarium filtration capacity for above selected species is 131594%.
Recommended water change schedule: 5% per week.
Your aquarium stocking level is 81%
