Is your tank overstocked, are you setting up a tank, check this out everybody!

lol i just goofed around with this thing. it said my aqaurium filtration on my 29 gallon (eheim 2250, aquaclear 50, and a hydro sponge 5) is a +336% meaning mucho filtration capability.

i am over stocked at 207%. so i guess the eheim 2250 BEAST is winning!!! haha!

Well, apparently my Kissing Gourami has A LOT of live food in her tank with her!!! I was wondering where two of my panda corycats had disappeared to! Guess its time to break out the 55 gal tank, the 24 gal tank and the 30 gal tank and cycle them, because according to the calculator, all my tanks are overstocked!! Wall to wall aquariums it is!! Thank goodness I am on top of water changes! And that I live on the bottom floor on concrete!! Now I just need to find a bigger pond and a place to put it for my goldfish!!

Massive amount of filtration is good, hopefully you are also removing all that nitrates your filter is converting through WC... :)

I guess your Kissing Gourami is still quite small?

I have found something I disagree with... it says black ghost knifefish and elephant noses are incompatible because they are both electrical fish... this is an old rumor that has been found to simply not be true.
Oddball kept a dozen elephant noses with a BGK for years, and I currently have them together in my 125 no problems.
However, elephant noses SHOULD be kept in groups of 6 or more ideally, to spread out the conspecific aggression, like tiger barbs.

One of the theories behind the compatibility is that ENs are from africa and give off a different type of electrical single than the BGK from SA. Also, it is thought that these fish can simply change their electrical signal if need be. No matter what, they ARE compatible together.

Your aquarium filtration capacity for above selected species is 89%.
Recommended water change schedule: 11% per week.
Your aquarium stocking level is 49%. [Generate Image]

Woo! I know im forgetting like 10 small fish though.

That's cool. I've saved your comments in the wishlist. I'll take it into account. Thanks. :D
