One question you have a big and tall tank, what lights are you running? Co2? fertilizer additives ect.? Plants look great!

The tank looks great! I absolutely love the way your sand and gravel mixture turned out!! I may try the same thing. Have you noticed if the gravel and sand separate at all? The tank I'd be doing would be mbuna cichlids and I think they dig some and I'm wondering how the sand/gravel is working out for you. Thx!
