yup, those are the ones i saw this past weekend!!! theyre really nice, great colors too. any idea on the pricing of them?

The Bolivian ram is awesome; they are a lot of fish for the price. Tropical only sells them for like $5.00 - $6.00 or so… Sometimes, they will run specials if there are a lot of them and they will sell them for like $4.99. Come on do it…. Come on do it…. Come on do it…. Come on do it…. Come on do it…. You know you want to …. Get some driftwood and some tall plants and give all the Bolivians a home take them all:headbang2... ha ha

lol yeah ill get a group of them next time i go in there. dont know about changing the aquascaping though. too much work! just thought of it gives me headache :nilly:

I don't know if you posted it before, but what is the tank temp?
Also Bolivian rams like soft water. I keep mine in about 80.5 for the temp and very soft water. I tried to get a pic last night of one of my Bolivians stole a mini night crawler away from my EBJD. :WHOA:I couldn’t believe it. I thought the EBJD was going to pounce on him.:ROFL:
The Bolivian had the damn worm sticking out of his mouth like a spaghetti noodle, running all over the tank. It was great.

 they seem like interesting little fish. my temp is usually about 79~81 degrees. as for soft water, mine isn't too soft. my kh is about 7~8 and gh is approx 15, so id say i have pretty hard water, which is better for planted tanks.

think they'd still be ok?

Yes it should be ok… Bolivians are the hardiest of the three. Dude you have peaked my interest now… There is no turning back now… pick them wisely. I have got some there and all but one look like the Bolivian ram.

That's awesome bro, it's been well worth the wait and effort. How's the upkeep on that since you cleared up the algae bloom?
thanks man!! hasnt been bad, but then again, it just cleared up a few days ago. i just pulled out the UV light today, so lets see how she goes. hopefully i can keep everything balanced now.

lighting has been cut down to 6 hours, only two bulb and i started dosing based on a 20~40g tank rather than a 40~60g tank. so far so good, keep your fingers crossed!

check this out. found this on plantedtank.net, all this progression in about 4 months time. gorgeous setup. i hope mine looks like this :D
