Knots... it brings great memories... My father was a merchant marine before and he used to pepper us with his lessons about knots. I was 9 I think... Needless to say, I pretty much forgot all of it but man those teaching sessions were intense since I was 9.

after testing with a scale. palomar knot and the albright knot are the best. both performed at 100% or higher!

for the albright i connected 20lb to 50lb mono and it tested at 21.8lbs and the palomar knot using 20lb mono tested at 22.3lbs!

i always use Palomar if i can its easy and a great knot.

i use palomar(only if im in a hurry to cast on some boils on the surface), but otherwise i use it rarely...i form my own knot, stand out stronger than palomar.

Palomar is the best i've tried- works for any line i've tried as well
