L95(Orange cheek) or L52(Pineapple pleco)

hmmm.. ic..

I guess that can be true.. Aqualog said the same thing about L114s and L600.. which i know those two are similar.. but very distinctive species... People have tried the two and they do not breed together...

Is it safe to say:

spots = L95
no spots L152

I wouldnt say that.. Your pictures alone already show spots on the sails.. I think its safer to say the two species have different color patterns..

When you say "they do not breed together" are your referring to L95/L152 or L114/L600. If the latter, see:

From about day 12 onwards the fry became a bit more adventurous and started coming out of their hiding places to forage. On day 18 they had developed yellow spots on their body, though the tail still remained translucent. We noticed that some fry started developing a melanin pattern on the tail. This was quite interesting as we knew their parents had different tail patterns (one being the L600 morph while the other being the L114 morph).

That looks like an L-152 pineapple pleco. I was told that they will lose or gain spots as they age but not sure which one does what. Anyhow intersted in selling the beast?

This beast is only 4" at the present. I got it yesterday and would keep it either way but would be happy if someone could identify this one.
