love this thread. my little 7 inch pair are from this pair and are gorgeous fish. i love dovii and mel is a world class cichlid keeper.
Largest dovii in private aquaria?

I talked to Gage (Cichlid Connection) yesterday, and he said he may be getting some extremely large dovii that a guy from Nicaragua brought over to Florida years ago and threw in a large pond. Apparently some are around 30", but he hasn't gotten them or measured them himself yet so hasn't posted anything on the forums. So maybe you all will be seeing some very large dovii for sale pretty soon here!
how do you ship a 30" freakin dovii?? may have some UPS workers with some missing fingers
LOL, I would imagine air cargo, a big box, a lot of water, and quite a bit of tranquilizer.
my buddy p3dovii on here has had his male dovii for about 3 years i think. its roughly 19". he also has female from rapps with it thats about 6" roughly. they have paired and he has a lil batch of growouts from them as we speak. ill try and get some good pics of it it tonight. he def has one the biggest ones ive seen in person!
