Hah!....yeah I feel ya and I have a small library of fish and aquarium books from way back.
Well, you're right for the most part but I'm saying something simple question of the thread title. I'm pretty sure you will get a right dead on answer with all the wiki record in very educated way"Google" is the root of 50% of the problems we see in fishkeeping - the same people agreeing to the same bad advice and the same bad ideas................remember the old days when you wanted to learn something and you opened a BOOK???
Yes, BOOKS still exist believe it or not - I try to look for the ones where the Author has an "M.D." or V.M.D." of some type of qualification next to his name and credentials. Any average Joe-Schmoe can put something on GOOGLE
Look up "Google" - it's defined as the highest number and you technically CAN count to it, but just like the internet Google, who the HELL wants to deal with all the nonsense in between????
YA Feel me?
I'm not sad, its just that the idea that there are fish (Atlantic Sturgeon) that live less than 10 miles from me and I have seen in the wild that are twice as as the biggest in Africa, where people think all the big animals live. No, I have not seen a sturgeon more than 4 feet long, but they grow to 15 feet and 800 lbs.Why do you feel that it is sad? The continent has a few large fish but it is no big deal really.
No, you won't, and if you do the Nile Perch is so underwhelming that you probably won't believe it. that's why I came across this thread to begin with (Google).I'm pretty sure you will get a right dead on answer with all the wiki record in very educated way
I think you might be missing the mekong river ray... wingspan of 16 ft+The last link in my signature contains my database - the largest fw fish sorted by size and then by continent, including Africa of course.
Thanks, Vincent! Yea, there are caveats. I've omitted rays altogether.I think you might be missing the mekong river ray... wingspan of 16 ft+
