But to answer yours, I don't have inverts and corals and I don't know what will happen if my pumice has trace metals .. so I can't answer you... you had bad experience?

I thought your concern was time vs money..... if it's playing safe , seachem should be safer...... but I don't have the expertise to check if the matrix has trace metals even if it leeches
 
Are we talkin about large blocks of pumice used for landscaping? The only type I am familiar with is the small blocks used for scrubbing the toilet.
