That power bar.....are those individual switches? Do you have more information on that? Where, how much $$, do you like it?

x2, I want to know as well. I love how clean and simple that makes a set up look. I guess I like buttons too.... :D

Excellent! I could plug my 2 turntables and a microphone into it. Ha. Seriously though, thats nice - I like buttons too.

I wish my filtration looked as clean as some of these. I have hoses and crap laying everywhere. My pump is sitting on a towel at the moment, because that seems to be working the best to deaden the noise.

lol werd , gotta bump my thread in comments and suggestions or make a new one. They said no though

BTW a piece of the memory foam or whatever for my bed they gave me (a sample) keeps my air pumps dead silent and they dont move on it whatsoever.

I think if you call posturepedic they can give you a sample for free.

Here are a few photos of my 225 with mostly South American fish. The set up has been running for about 10 months and has worked pretty well. The fish are growing fast and seem healthy. Sorry for the crappy pics.. I HATE my camera.

For the filtration I built a wet/dry sump using an old acrylic 55gallon tank I had. It has 20 gallons worth of bio balls and 25lbs of lava rock for biological. I use a 100micron filter pad for mechanical which I have to change daily. A Dart Reeflo pump to return to the tank through a small spray bar and undergravel jets. Overflow is a Gl*******s through the glass overflow box with two 2" bulkhead fittings. I'm also using an Eheim 2028 canister and an Eheim 2217. I've been using a drip system since I set the tank up. I add approximately 15 gallons per day. I'm not on city water system... I live in a very rural area and we have a spring on our property that we use for our water. I simply drip water into the sump and let it overflow out of the sump with a 3/4" bulkhead fitting. I've also added a water selenoid valve because the electricity here frequently goes off. When the power goes off, the water selenoid goes off and doesn't allow water to escape while the sump takes on the additional water from the main tank. Hope that makes sense. I had trouble with another tank with a similar setup. When the power went off and then came back on the drain would have drained 10-15 gallons of water causing the pump to run dry. With this setup the selenoid closes keeping the excess water in the sump until the power comes back on.
