Hi,

List all the peaceful cichlids you know here. What you should post is species that are generally peaceful, and could be placed in a community setting with little or no quarrels. It would also be preferred if you have owned the species rather than having only heard or read about them.

Futher, it should only be species that are generally peaceful. If you have owned an RD or Green Terror that was wimpy, that wouldnt be considered generally peaceful for the species. Also, it is known that some species that are generally peaceful, some specimens have been known to be aggressive. This is just odd/bad luck. So just list the ones that are for the most part, peaceful.

mind me asking why? is it for a website your making, because you'd like to know, to create a thread for other people to read and learn?

anyways, most apistos are pretty peaceful, as well as other sa dwarf cichlids. not really that many peaceful cichlids out there, at least compared to those who aren't peaceful. ;)

Of the cichlids I have kept I would consider these peaceful
Leatacara dorsigerus and curviceps
Aequidens diadema
Archocentrus multispinosa
festivum
Rams
Angels
Crenicichla Regani
Keyholes
Geo? balzani

Single speciment only, with suitable sized tankmates and tank.

Uarus , Angels , Discus, most Geos except G.Braziliensis, Apistos , Dwarf Acaras, Rams. Even with these guys though they tend to be rowdy amongst their own kind. Peacefull is a very relative term with any cichlid.

Keyholes, Kribensis, apisto's

Hi, haha no. It does seem that way but no Im not making it for a website or anything. I was just trying to find out for myself, and others could benefit as well I guess.

I guess where I am trying to get at is, cichlids that can be housed in a community setting.
The ones I listed will fit that bill pretty well (the Uarus would need larger tank mates though) , and I could add Aequidens Metae to them as well. The comment was geared to conspecific behavior as opposed the general behavior. Sorry if it confused things.
