And that would be 62.5%...omg, thats the number I came up with in trying to figure the minmum needed to make a strain fertile...so clearly my theories on syns are totally WHACK! I seriously couldn't be happier now that you've told me this, lol! I know that sounds weird, you just let me know I could be very wrong, but I WANTED to be wrong!!! Oh please, post whatever article you read that in!!!you said 75% purity in syns have you read about Mr. chens fortune fish where he took a unfaded red texas that has 25% syn genes and crossed it to a synspilum and came up with fertile males that would still be between 55% and 65% and nice you'll have to post some pics when you get em i can't find very many pics of pink fens
http://www.flowerhornrus.com/rarefishsff.htmNo I have not read that, but I do know of Mr. Chen, can you post a link to the article?
nice staying with the three closest genus paratheraps vieja and paraneetroplus if they are actually separate genus even scientist can't make up their mind on the taxonomy my pocket professional copyright in 2006 has paratheraps listed then that are now considered vieja so which of the four paraneetroplus are you usingI've actually read that, it was a long time ago and I wasn't paying attention like I would now. He says fertile but percentage was low, my mix is going to be a little different though, alot more syn blood in mine. Plus the other species I'm using is actually paraneetroplus as well, so two paraneetroplus species, and bp. Later I'd also like to add red mammon. All very related, very likely to be genetically compatible.
