Paraneetroplus synspila andParaneetroplus fenestratus, lago catemeco, aka pink fene.

p.s. I think there's fourteen species grouped under Paraneetroplus, notfour...

from my pocket professional copyright 2006 it is paratheraps synspilum andparatheraps fenestratus
but are now considered vieja

that book lists paraneetroplus bulleri then paratheraps bifasciatus, paratheraps breidhori, paratheraps fenestratus, paratheraps hartwegi, paratheraps zonatum, paratheraps guttulata, paratheraps synspilum then vieja argentea, vieja maculicauda and vieja regani but now its all different but i've never seen syns and fens as paraneetoplus

It is 2013, you might want to consider the fact that your book is outdated.

i don't know about that site trimacs are still listed as cichlasoma not amphilophus and most of what they consider cichlasoma was moved to a different genus i go by this page they seem more reliable to me but thats a personal prefference

After some more googling/reading, I realize the reason you and I have conflicting info is that most if not all classifications are in dispute. To be honest syns will always be Vieja to me, simply because that's the name I've known most of my life.

hey do you happen to know of a site i could order a Vieja melanurus im gonna order some fish today but the place i'm ordering from has pink fens and escondidos but not those and i'm talking the real kind solid red head to tail not syns sold as melans

Tangled up in cichlds has carried them in the past, my advice is to email tuic and ask when he might have them next.
