nice dude, i was thinking of getting one from OSA and growing him out, but decided against it, mostly because of size, and because he could be the one to upset the balance that my fish seem to have.... he could make it explode, plus i'm setting up my huge tank this weekend, should be running and full of fish by midweek, so i figured i'd wait.... but glad to see someone picked em up, i'm excited to watch this guy grow....keep us posted as he grows, good luck man

Once it's big enough it's going in the 150 growout with the gatf. Once they're big enough, I'm moving everyone into a 4x8x2 ~475 gallon tank that will ultimately be a growout step as well.

The long term plan is 3-4 years from now to have completed a 16 x 6 x 3 ~2100 gallon tank in the basement to house these fish for life. There's a guy on here who built a 2700 gallon tank that is I think 24 feet by four feet that has published blueprints that I'm gonna base my design off of. I'm open to the possibility of getting something else huge if it comes along at the right place though. A big fiberglass tank would be perfect because it would allow me to move it if I ever have to move. Built tanks are fairly, eh, permanent. lol I don't really powerfeed my fish. I like that all of the fish I have have slow growth rates that allow me to have time. I'm currently very limited in my options until I get out of the army.
