Mahseer information?

That kinda looks like a Neolissochilus Stracheyi. I have 12 of the copper version Neolissochilus Hex.

Haha. I just googled it and found one that looked similar and pretty. I don't profess to be an expert on these guys though. :p

Is the body plan of the tambroides closer to that of the putitora? If so, that would make it a very nice fish. I love the aggressive, riverine look of the putitora and would love to have one someday.

I've had my tor putitora for a few months now, got it around 16" now 20 pushing 21" grow is decent, eats everything I throw in, ok with other large fish but I have seen mine attack smaller slim looking fish, such as my vittatus...which is around 13". I have a lot of current in my tank my masheer loves it. It's been kept in 75-84 degree water no problems.

Golden Mahseer for sure. Distinct pointed face.

That is an absolutely stunning fish. Great pics too!

Yes, I agree. I have one in my tank and for whatever reason it follows my ATF around and drives it crazy as it tries to hunt but it also bullies some of the smaller fish in the tank.
