Can’t see really from the video but looks to have scale damage around the half body length as though he has been grabbed by something bigger and shook? Seems really infeasible due to eyesight and speed of course.

Thank you Dave. No, that lone scale was missing for a months before this incident. Plus if it were grabbed mid body, a lot of scales would be missing.
