I ran 100 mic socks...I had to clean them every week faithfully.
My tank was also very lighty stocked.

Do you think 200's would need to be cleaned every 2 weeks or should I go with 400's.

I was hoping to hit a mark of every 2 weeks.

I dont know,depends on your stock.
Like I said my tank was very lightly stocked & needed weekly w/ the 100's.

what about the glass going all the way to the top.

Why did you ask about that?

If it is,& for some reason the bio area gets clogged(very remote i know),it may overflow the sump instead of overflowing into the pump area.

im so happy i saw this because im making a wet dry out off my old 55 gallon and didnt know how to make one so im going of this exact idea. some questions how much did the 2 pumps cost, how much water do you have to have in the tank were the pumps. im making one for my new tank when i can get it 180 or 240.

I think the pumps are around $60 each.

enough to keep them under water.
