first off...that filter looks insane mate...job well done...!!!

just a quick question...i see that your scrubbies would not be submerged in water but just have the water dripping over them...

i built myself a wet/dry over the weekend and my baffle plates are arranged so that the scrubbies is always submerged in water even when the power goes out...

so my question would be would my scrubbies grow bacteria on them being constanly submerged in water??

as i understand it you need to have 2-3rds out of the warter(thats the dry part)this allow a different type of bacteria to colonize. This bacteria you dont find in a canister,,,,thats how i understand it i may be wrong, but dont worry if i am there will a flood of posts to put us both right;)

Dr. Joe,
Do you think I will need the center supports if I dont use the poly fill?
The acillic is .022 thick, will it sag over time?
Do you mean .22 (1/64" or 1/4" approx)... 1/4" no problem.

You'll be ok, it's just a wet-flow system not a W/D (not quite as effective). http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?p=838404#post838404
