I always thought the "man eating catfish" was the Wallago attu. It wasn't a myth. The Indians would lay their dead in the river and over a period of centuries, the fish developed a taste for the flesh of Homo erectus.

I lost (killed) a 36" Jau whilst moving it in July ... an awesome catfish, and probably after H wykii my favourite .. I had boris for quite a while and grew him from 27" to his final size .. not overly aggressive to me, and I put 300 neons in the tank with him which was nice.

I currently have a juvenile that I have had for about a year now that's about 12" long ... very slow growing cat ... has a better personality and in my opinion a better look than a red tail too. They don't do tank mates though.
