well.. if he were to live in the wild he would probably already be dead.. but now he is in your tank..

I have half a clown knife.. he was literally ripped in half.. never thought he were going to make it.. Still he healed up and is now swimming in my tank.. I would give it a try.. the are hardy and heal well..

sad to hear but
good luck and respect for aether decision..

Thanks for all the input. Its tough looking at him and deciding. I think I'm gonna give him a week. It will help me decide, plus I can see his will to live. Just hard because I have to look at him like this:

... the awkwardness he is going through right now..maybe just temporary.... i think he will show you life is worth living... he is still a gorgeous beautiful arow... i am glad your giving you and him some time..

f8ck me!
that is horrific!
GG is a nasty piece of work! i had one, when it gets to acertain size, it screws with everyone!
put him down. take him out of the water and chop hiis head off or something - something that will instantly kill him
i think hats more humane that poison.
or if thats too graphic, then clove oil it is!

sorry about your loss
rid of the GG and start again!

A GG is a giant gourami. Thanks for the thought. I'm gonna watch him through the week to see how he does.

Very much south..
It seems that it wants to cope, seeing that photo. It has a good body mass, should be able to turn things over.

Give it time. Let it start to heal, and then start training it to take food from tweezers...

Do something different, give that Aro a chance at life.

( All being said, I find no fault should you decide to euthanize it )

yeah itll be ok, i like ray charles.. i have black moor goldfish with no eyes and they do fine. bit sad but sometimes stuff happens.
your throwing food at him and he hasnt got to go chasing stuff down.
its not likley he will be competing for things anyways. he still has smell and a lateral line and touch. if one eye was hangin out i woulda pushed it back in though and taped him together. likley he will mend just fine.
