some updates from over here : i recently learned that my newest cuban is actually estimated to be around 15years old. and is probably incredible stunted.

I have one Florida Gar
Size: 13inch
Diet: Hikari bio gold, lance fish, f/dried shrimp, crickets, fish chunks(catfish, bass, carp) and what ever else i can find
3 for the list here, 2 Florida's and 1 Shortnose. Looking for a Tropical and Longnose to round out the collection for now. Later when my funds are in a better fiscal situation and if lucks on my side a Cuban to complete the set.
hey xander, i would be interested as to the info that provides your 15-year old estimate for the Cuban gar...can you elaborate on that further? i don't doubt Cubans can live for over 15 years (even spotteds can do that), i'm just interested in how you arrived at the estimate. assuming you didn't clip fins or remove otoliths (latter would be lethal), i figure you just talked to previous owners and estimated from there?--
