nothing more noble than having to bust out a wall to get a fish tank through.

I bow down to you.

good luck and keep posting pics!
X2:headbang2 Becareful and don't hurt yourself. I know I would've gave up after going up the stairs to the 2nd floor.

gone too far to go back now.:headbang2

i hired removal guys because i would rather pay than lift, :grinno:
and my friend list thins out a bit when they know you have a tank that needs moving to the 3rd floor.

its council, so no deposit to worry about. ive spoke to one of the maintenence guys and he was the one who told me its not load bearig and to go for it. (i thought it maybe shaky ground with the tenancy agreement)

he said im permitted to do home improvements lol.

the other option was to hire a crane and take the window out. but would have costed more an extra 50 bucks, and difficult to pull in from the window once its up there.

the crane guy was like no problem, you have something heavy i have a crane, lets do this. lol.

Warning someone never hurts... I've seen someone with a custom tank not put it in a corner and deal with a sunken floor before they admitted they had to move the tank.

Very nice, good luck with that, sounds like you've got a plan though. I've got a desk that i brought home that absolutely wont fit through my doors so now it's a work bench in the garage.

Well, The wall came down.:headbang2

It was a bit of work, :wall: im not sure the neighbours liked it very much.

Fair few buckets of rubble and a LOT of dust.

Sealed of the hallway and kitchen to try to keep the dust contained,

Thought we'd done a good job, but dust still got everywhere. :irked:

Luckily the Mrs was out and most of it was clean by the time she got back.

The removal guys are coming in the morning to lift the tank in at no extra charge. (i think he may have just said it because he didnt think id really knock it down.)

lets just hope it now fits.

was thinking of just putting a poster over the hole after? what do you think?
would it be noticeable?

Well tomorrow is the day, although i have spent quite a few nights thinking that with this tank so far.

Once its in ill reassemble the cabinet need to buy new bulkheads then leak test.

It better not f##king leak!!!!

enjoy the pics and be happy you didnt have to clean up!!

im on the hammer, my brother has the drill

...If theres hard work and you need a hand, time to force family to help. You know they cant say no. ;)

(think im gonna be sore in the morning.)
