Thanks arapaimag I do have both of those books, but at the time the profiles were written I didn't. I would say that they are very highly suggested reading for anyone into big cats. Want to be a member of the Monster Catfish League? Nice RTC BTW which tank is it in? They also cover filamentosum in those books, and show some size and distribution maps.
I am really glad you have and enjoy those books. I had a tough time finding the one from Brazil but lucky to have a professor attend my basketball tournament from Brazil who was able to bring one with him a few years ago.

I have 3 redtails in the 52k and there is some videos on the most recent article. Neo never had time to edit the ones in Feb 2008 but there is 4 or 5 minutes on each that are good and you will see the 5 big Pseudodoras niger all are 36 to 42 inches, the 2 Wallago leerii (biggest 54") and a few others.

I would love to be a member..............You guys know your cats!!!!!!!!

Here is one of my Wallago (sorry the glass was dirty but it always gets messed when I feed that tank.)

originalsurf, don't be shy and post pics of your fila!! Post a pic on the piraiba thread bro!
I think it will be a bit more active once it gets used to your tank. What does it eat??

Sometimes its cool to have cats that aren't too active because you can better pics when they are still and when they are by the glass, you can get a good view of them! PLUS, who else in your area can say that they own one of the biggest cats (thefila I am talking about) in the world ? Everybody there might say, blue cats and flatheads are monsters, get bigger than a volkswagen, weight 200+ lbs, etc but you know the real truth (that they don't) and that you have a true cat that can!

Well.... ummm... :welcome: Lori

For your first post you have given quite a list of fish that you have, and or are expecting, which will lead me to the obvious question of What size tank do you have that your planning to have 6 RedTails (I'm assuming that your talking about the South American RedTailed Catfish, or is it the Asian Redtailed Catfish?) Either way your looking at trouble if you don't have a very good game plan for dealing with them.

When you say Tiger... What are you talking about exactly? Tiger shovelnose? How many do you have... (just wondering as I might have to get more if you have more than me  :grinno:

The pacu, if you really want to get some then you might want to give one of the vendors on the site a try... I'm sure you realize just how large these guys get as well... I hope you have a few hundred grand to throw at an addition to your house to hold the aquarium needed to house all these monsters!

Who are you talking to specifically? There are lots of members here with MRTC's and a couple with PRTC's if there is something that your looking to know about them then all you need to do is ask ;)

As for the ARTC There is TONS of information available on it but the same rule applies, if you want to know then simply ask what your interested in knowing and someone will be more than happy to answer your questions.
