Don't forget that I had him for 15 years...and unfortunatly no I don't have any surviving pictures of them.

Yes...that was an odd combo but the two were inseperable. Once they reached about 10" or so however any thaughts about adding another fish to their tank was a joke...lol

A deadly Aro attack? Amazing! I knew they were capable. Looks like you need a bigger ATF to make that work.

I can imagine it was spendy. I think many of us have made costly errors. Many think of fishkeeping as science, but it isn't science. Science has rules. Fishkeeping is LIFE.

Adolesent/Adult male Red devils X anything else = death to one of the two <not good>

Adding just one african to a sa/ca community, was told buy LFS that this could be successful, 2.5 years later still no problems, or overaggresion.

How about Pbass, Dats, or Aros? Any compatibility issues with those?

pbass and neon tetras: nope, tetras harass the pbass almost to death......then the pbass realizes he is 80x the size of the neon, and eats him.

oscar + giraffe cat = territorial fights till the giraffe got too big
oscar + featherfin = complete success dont think the oscar knows its there.
oscar + pair of GT's = so far success, male gt sometimes tries to lock mouths but is still only about 7inches and oscar is full grown.
oscar + senegal bichir = win

oscars + plants = expensive constant renewal of plants till i chucked them and left it bare. :)

royal panaque + lumphead cichlid = hididng lumphead and panaque chased out of hiding places debatably a good thing as i never saw it before.

I keep all of these fish together with no major dramas.

The aro is definitely the boss though.
