I really like blue crawfish, I did end up getting one from Amazon and it unfortunately died from shedding stress after a week

Hmmm...I dunno...those pics look a little "off" somehow...

qldmick , I love your shots of those monster crays. I really wish I had the chance to see Australia in person someday. And...Cherax destructor has got to be tied with Ursus horribilis for the title of "coolest scientific name ever!"

Very cool mate. My grand parents had a house on the purlingbrook creek in Springbrook, the hinterland behind the Goldie. We used to catch laminating spiny crays there for fun when I was a kid.
My brother used to fish for Aussie lungfish in SE Qld in the early 80’s. I think Somerset was one of the lakes he fished. Apparently they go like the clappers.
I live in the US now. Thanks for the nostalgia trip down memory lane
