all my tanks have plants in them but my planted tank is a 75g. with a sh. I have about 150 + pounds of flourite to keep the plants rooted. 2wpg with swords, hygro, anubias and duck weed. I dose lots of seachem products.

other 3 tanks have gravel, swords and snakeheads lots of sh's.

there is a 2"deep base of florite and a 3" layer of sand atop....nothing gets uprooted as the cichla do not fuss with the plants, they only go after anything moving in the tank :)

Maybe gars?(anyone with picts of planted tanks with gar would be nice :D )... the rest like rtcs will uproot most plants in one swipe as they are too powerful unless you tie the plants down to bogwood.
