That is probably one of the coolest non commercially owned tanks I've ever seen.

that was amazing. I hope to have something like that some day. I have a heavily planted tank with 3 datnoids. Though they are small, they seem to be at home with them. So long as you get plants that are rooted pretty solid, you should be fine.

Anyone got like planted arowana tanks picts to share or any other monsterfish tanks with plants to show? Also some information on your tank like size, water parameters, species of flora and fauna, lighting and filtration would be nice. Please also include any other information that you would deem useful to set up a tank like yours will also be greatly appreciated.
we have our aro in a 190 gal,it's planted with lots of swords, homemade lights, sump filter. we've never had any probs with the aro uprooting plants. he's stays on top with one of the gars, I'll get some pics later and post em.

I've got some Minnesota natives, just sunfish for right now, in a planted tank. I researched aquatic plants in Minnesota, and decided that I would set up a biotope of the surrounding lakes. It's not too bad, but I imagine that when I get a smallmouth bass, they might rip apart the foliage.
