More tank pics, updated

Top of Kong's tank. You can see the evaporation pan deforming. The glass strip is left over from the previous top. New glass canopies for Kong and Patch are planned. The pans are easy to cut for filters but they aren't the best fit over the tank frame and bend pretty quick. The glass is to stabilize the top and keep water off the light. Its really becoming a pain to adjust all the time.

Brick's lip pop. Believe it or not it was three times this size a day ago. He kept banging it against the glass.

Bobo is doing very well. This time he recovered quickly, never got sick like before. No spots for two days. Everyone else is clear as well. Fresh water and salt this afternoon. The fish like eating it, I don't know why. They don't eat a lot, just get a taste.

I was pleasantly surprised to see Bobo showing a color morph I haven't seen in a year. It's an army green color with gold tones and orange/red. So he must have been feeling good! In his profile I said he was 9 inches. I kept looking at him today thinking he seemed larger. Turns out he is...Bobo's 10 inches now. Though nowhere near the Oscar's huge mass he's a hefty centerpiece fish and no slouch in the size department. I'm very glad he never had bacterial issues like before. Just very early stages of ich which I was able to catch faster than the last time. Eating like a horse. Could be his maturity is what's making him try to test the Oscar, though he really can't do anything with him. If things continue to take a positive turn in the next month the QT crew will go join the others. They'll likely be out of room at that point, they're growing at a crazy rate. But my brief experience with cichlids has taught me to expect the unexpected. So the backup tank stays ready. Glass is a bit dirty in these pics.

I forgot to mention Bobo will hand feed when he's in the mood.
