More tank pics, updated

What is your favorite cichlid? Mine is patch.

It's really, really tough for me to say easily. Best answer I can give is this

Brick, Patch and Boss for their complex behaviors and incredible intelligence. The three most amazing/entertaining, if you will. Soft spot for raising Brick from a baby.

Tango because he is the most personable. Has an almost oscar type personality despite being nervous and high strung.

Pepper and Pip for their wild energy, awareness and enthusiasm.

Acaras are like potato chips, you can't stop at one. But my favorite by far was Felix, loaded with personality. Rocky and Jazz are almost there with me already. They're adorable , full of mischief and extremely responsive.

This is my first go around with cichlids. They're like no other fish I've ever had.

Doing a water change right now. Went to check temps for the fill up, and saw Bobo over in Brick's pit. So now he has another ridiculous color morph, WHITE tiger stripes! I've never seen this before. Was able to grab a couple of pics (you gotta move fast with chocs, they change on a dime).

Brick popped him good for intruding in his area. ?

These pics aren't very good quality, I had turned the overhead lights off in the fishroom. Bobo was crammed into some plants near the glass during the water change. And of course he went over to the wrong side. He's against the glass because Brick is forcing him out of there. When I first saw this I thought Brick had done something, it looked like Bobo's meat was showing. Nope. Another kooky color morph. Right after the second pic was taken Brick popped him good. Bobo turned brown and shot away.

More pics.

Most of these were in low light conditions so they look a bit grainy. I kind of like the looks it gives, though.

I'm waving a black worm cube at Bobo. He's very interested. He has his picky moments but unlike the Oscar, he caves pretty quick.

Kong is sporting her crazy "Patchy Piebald" look since laying eggs. She'll eventually go back to orange again.

Boss looks over Brick's aquascaping of their pit. He has the most consistently intense color of all my parrots and never fades or goes patchy. Brick is working in the background piling sand up. Their nest looks like an asteroid crater site.
