Starting with Jazz. She's sassy and back to herself finally! Popeye is gone and she's eating like a champ. Her tank isn't here yet but I have most of the supplies. Here she is in the 8 gallon tub. She gets fresh water every 2 days. 2 airstones and plants she nestles in.
One of the beef brothers in the 225, Bruce. Son of Mongo and Pip. Surprisingly the huge sons overall are skittish and not overly aggressive. Difficult to grab pics because of this. Any motion sends them flying.
In the 125 algae has started to grow on the sponge caves. The fry love eating it. It explains all the long strings of poop even though they only get one meal of pellet mush a day. They also nosh on algae I leave on the back wall.
Shade is unusual in that he and brother Mote are the only two Gen1 offspring that have retained their washed out faded look into adulthood. The others either had stripes or developed them later. Size wise he's in the large category. A gamma male, stays out of the way and minds his own buisness. Avoids any kind of conflict.
Blaze is the current undisputed Queen of the 125, succeeding her mother Speck. She has fry with Mongo. Very territorial but not wild like Speck. Her aggression is very targeted. Nobody messes with her. One of her fry is nearby.
Here's Bumper, son of Mongo and Pip. He's blended in with the 125 crowd really well since being moved from the 225. Seems to gravitate more to his 'uncle' Slade. The interrelationships of extended family are pretty fascinating.
