More tank pics, updated

I'd like to capture all of Bobo's color changes. Every 15 mintes he looks completely different! He's striped, solid or blotched. Colors go from teal to dark red, dark purple, tan, burnt gold/amber, dark orange, nearly black, navy blue, green, and brown.

Sometimes he looks airbrushed. Crazy!

Nice set-up you have there.
Did you have any issues with the plants delaying the establishment of your bb?

Do you need some of the pothos to be on the surface to thrive? Reason Im asking as It is toxic to cats and I own cats. It will be safe to keep if they were 100% in the water where cats dont usually get into?

Loving their pictures!

I have all my pothos submerged. In an established tank I just rinse and toss in. It doesn't do well if you try to 'plant' the roots, they need oxygen. Key things to remember:

Get pothos with huge root systems
Prune out excess/dead roots (a problem with pot bound pothos)
Vine type pieces adapt quicker with less melt than bushy plants broken up
have lots of aeration/water movement. No stagnant water while getting established!

If you are fishless cycling a tank add up to 7ppm ammonia and toss pothos in. Extra light is needed while getting established, approx 8-10 hours or red/blue light spectrum.

All pothos are different. I've had some that took to water right away, and others had nearly 70% melt before growing. You will have to trim/remove small soft vine pieces and leaves. It will keep growing.

Pics...time to give Kong a little love. He's my best (or worst) decorator. My high energy parrot is always moving his tank around and isn't happy unless it looks like a tornado hit. One plant must always be pulled up. He sits one of his soccer balls on the filter sometimes. Loves to shove the Pothos around and pulls at the roots. In the last pic he's gripped the vine in his mouth and is dragging it around.
