Most aggressive fish for a 75 gallon

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I bet you think you are hilarious human bean. There's a lot to think about I do want an active fish so puffers are out I like hyper aggressive active fish

If you could upgrade to a bigger tank when needed, I'd highly recommend a Buttikoferi.
Ive got one (6 inches) growing out in 75 now (150 in the garage waiting). Hands down the most aggressive fish ive ever seen in an aquarium. He goes at my hand if I touch the glass, which isn't so bad but when we have company over he goes full on attack mode non stop, chasing anyone who walks by to the point we're contemplating covering the tank with a sheet or something as we don't want him to hurt himself.

that would be cool I really want one but I am upgrading to a 125 for a cichlid community which will include a blue acara, oscar, for enough, 6 silver dollars and a featherfin catfish. I love jaguars but I know I shouldn't get one even solo in a 75 I really want something like them I don't know what to do

There are other fish in the parachromis family that stay smaller you might look at instead of a jag.
Parachromis friedrichsthalii, Parachromis motaguensis, Parachromis loisellei

Maybe you could forget about the type, and look for people (or at the LFS) whos fish has become to belligerent for them. I got a couple of belligerent fish this way.

PS: I love belligerent fish too, but they will mess up your floors, filters..., fingers, wont let you clean the tank, and might break the tank.
