small jig i think i used.i used minnows last trip but there was no babies.
and in a month or to i will have to catch them somehow to get measurements :D

Excellent job with the move.

You're one fellow that don't leave anything to chance! Now I realize i've been playing with my luck when I transport fish in those totes with nothing to support the plastic all around and with only one aerator. I bring extra batteries though. I think I better provide better support for my 54 gallon totes that holds pairs.:D

That pond depth may let you keep the PB alive in the winter months. One of the wholesalers that buy my PBs has a smaller pond that's no more than 10 feet deep and he keeps a PB in that pond to control the population of the other Cichlids. I've been seeing that PB for two summers now. They also have a Silver Aro in the pond that was two feet long last time I saw it.

He seems to be in the North Ft. Myers area, they are in the worst drought in 5 years. If you do not put a fountain in that pond all the fish will die, the water will go stagnant with the low water conditions.


Happens to all farm ponds during droughts.

thats good to hear,mine will have all summer to get big and settle in.
and my aro may make its way out there one day :naughty:

ya we planned on making/getting one.
in 5 years tho,only once was there deaths.
bluegills,fwc said cus they were breeding.


will be going there today to see the fish.
