It may be time to provide a spawning site that may be easy to monitor. I've seen them spawn on beer bottles, soda cans, discarded buckets, small rocks, big rocks, submerged tree branches, a discarded metal cylinder. Even got them to deposit their eggs a couple of times on discarded pieces of 4 inch by 6 inch marble threshold and a section of 2 inch PVC piping I found at a hardware store.

Good luck!

I've seen them do that along canal walls. I guess they're forced to do that when there are no shallow parts along the waterway.

That slime shows the water is starting to stagnate, you need to look into some surface agitation before you lose your babies. As the biggest fish in the pond, they will be the first to go......................

3/4 of this pond is shallow :)

Maybe if you jump in it people will realize this "pond" is a lil bigger than they thinking! It certainly wouldn't fit in the average backyard. What would you suggest he use to aggitate this monster?.....I think a good T storm would be about the only thing that could do it.

You should DIY some kind of protector for your cam and get some under water pics :naughty:
