I will put together a do's and dont's list when this is all done. I just scored a slew of T-8 light fixtures so I am going to have to rebuild my hood to make room. Looks like this tank will be planted.
I agree 100%. This is a great build and your tests are incredibly informative. Good luck - I'm looking forward to the finished product!Chaz88;3995720; said:Thank you to all the people currently doing monster plywood builds with the newest materials
I had an 8' build a number of years ago that was 30" deep and went with 1/2".USMC2171;3997385; said:Cant wait for the DO's and DON'TS list, Im thinking acrylic for my build. Do you think 1/4" is thick enough? It will have a 3" border of 3/4" plywood around it. Dimensions of acrylic are 8'x 2'. What do ya think BadOleRoss ?
Thanks Im getting prices now. Really hate this area, if I was still in Chicago I'd have about 10-15 places to choose for glass. The price for defending our freedom I guess, crappy places to be stationed I mean, LOL!BadOleRoss;3997583; said:I had an 8' build a number of years ago that was 30" deep and went with 1/2".
Looking forward to that list. I'm getting deep into my planning stage myself. I tapped the brakes abit, when I saw the problems you had with the glass and pond coat, but it does sound like your new plan should work great.BadOleRoss;3997176; said:I will put together a do's and dont's list when this is all done.
