Here are pictures of the business side of the hood. The 2 bulbs at the top that are closest together is a different fixture then the rest of them. Once the ballast start going bad I will replace the other fixtures. It will be nice because for every single bulb fixture I remove I will replace it with a dual bulb fixture in the same space. The 7 lights across the top are moonlight LED lights from night lite fixtures. The moon lights and the tubes are on seperate plugs.

No, they are T-8s. They are pretty much standard shop light fixtures just in the T-8 variety. Each fixture is 8' long and holds between 2 and 4 bulbs depending of the particular fixture. Picked them up for $2 each. I removed the standard metal covers that are normally between the fixture and the bulbs and replaced it with a large single cover painted white. So, the ballasts are right behind the bulbs.

nice hood, your running co2 for your plants also? whats the wattage on each bulb?
Dont think I am going to need CO2 yet. Right now the wpg is only about 1.7 which is low light. However, if you go by other means to measue tank light with goes by lumens and other wonderful stuff I am more in the medium light range. This is my first venture into plants so we'll see and learn as we go.

Aa soon as the last coat of LR/PC firms up and is no longer soft or tacky I will fill it up.
