Well all this hoga talk lately must have inspired mine to come out of its shell. It started flaring and showing me some color and attitude this morning.

Terrible news, Mr Hoga jumped out the tank overnight. Found him dried up and dead behind the tank.
I don't have any kind of tools really so was never able to cut the plastic strips that came with the glass tops to size. Just been using the center one. But the ends with the AC110s have no strip in place to seal up the gap. ?

So sorry to hear that. Been there myself, even with a completely sealed top on a 75. Fish had enough momentum to pop the glass top open and jump out. This was with the lighter weight glass tops which I no longer will use. I have the thicker types now.

Thats a hard loss. You think he was chased or frightened out? Couldve just been curiosity i suppose.

Nothing was in the tank with him that could have done the chasing. He was the biggest fish by far. The only other fish in the tank are some Red Eyed tetras and an Apistogramma macmasteri.
It could have been the cat that spooked him for all I know. He likes to sit on the back of the chair and watch the fish, pawing at them thru the glass.
