So this pairing is throwing a monkey wrench into my plans. If anyone wants this orange male you can have him free. The Wet Spot said they can ship if needed.

That pair is more likely to be a compatible pair with a good bond, if your after a pair go with them.

You know that is a very good point. I may have to rethink this and pick them instead of the ones I like more.

Always find fish are great at wrecking our well worked plans,
Yes! Whatever you hope they do, they inevitably choose the opposite.

Like my male Red Terror, who of all things has decided to shack up with a particularly daft little jewel cichlid. She's insane enough to drive off all of the female festae.

Sad news, while I was sick one of the mostly orange ones aperantly jumped out of the tank, found it dried on the floor.

So now it looks like 3males 1female left. Big white is really putting on the size now nearly double the size of the others.

Looks like the one I have liked all along now has picked a mate and the pair is running off the others. Doing all the typical courtship behaviors.

So I moved the extra two to my 46bowfront. Now the two left have started to lay a clutch of eggs. Look at all the rocks they moved around.15409298787321228215391.jpg
They have dug down to the bottom under the rock cave.

She where the female is in the background, that is where they are laying eggs.

Yup definitely have eggs. They were extra feisty during today's water change, attacking the gravel vac and occasionally my arm!

The male is about 4in now, female maybe 3in.
