My bichirs (Load warning)

Hello,

sometimes i could read the question about bichirs not eating from the ground ... here are two pics showing my Polypterus congicus eating sturgeon pellets from a leaf of a big sword plant. She (my cong is a female) could not see the food but could smell it - after having found the pellets she only had to open the mouth to let them fall in ...

My P.congicus is eating everywhere in the tank - also my P.ornatipinnis, P.p.polli and P.senegalus are acting this way. All others are also doing that but they need more time.

Greetings
Uwe

I was asked to make a full tank shot - this full-body-pic of my Polypterus senegalus is nearby as to show a bit the structure of one of my tanks. The problem to make good full-tank-shots is the distance and the lens i'm using up to this time - my lenses are working well when photographing landscapes or even fish, birds, mammals ... but when i try to photograph the full tank i will not get the results i want ...

Greetings
Uwe

Your bichir and their pic's are very well done! As much as full tank shots are crowd pleasers your shots are well done and your fish look immaculate.

Hello,

my Polypterus endlicheri congicus is a stunning eater and i think she (a lady bichir) has grown ... these congs are very fast growing i think! Unfortunately she don't like to be sized (as the most women except female sumo ringers) so this is an approximate number: 17"!!
And: My Polypterus teugelsi has falled in love with her ...

nice, uwe.

My congicus has been growing pretty well, but not super fast...probably 3" in 3 months (close to 13" now). mine loves to eat, too. didn't take anything for it to start eating sinking pellets

Beautiful pictures Uwe!

How long have your senegalus been breeding, and have you ever tried recovering the eggs to hatch them?
