All we really have near where I am is a polluted river with carp and some kind of mussel. I've had my line instantly snagged and turned my hands red from pulling on the fishing line, only to see that a mussel or some small kind of mollusk clamped onto my hook when it broke from the rock it was on, sometimes even taking the bend out of my hook.
I've had zero luck catching any of these carp, even with baits moving right in front of their surfacing mouths. and these guys are pretty huge, i'd say the ones i've seen averaging 2.5 feet

Anise oil is in Spray on attractants for artificail baits. You can find it in walmart next to the stank *** catfish bait. I think the oil is added to 'mask' the scent of you, or plastics so as to not scare the fish.

OMG................ YOUR A SAINT. A couple of friend and i need minnows for our bass and all we use is a fish net.... And thats hard to do we max out like at 20 and we need more than that.

I just shoot the carp with a bow, Its harder than it looks, They dont have a bad taste, just very bony and hard to process.
