now to go looking for that old umbrella. Thanks for this fine idea. Would come in great for my arowana feeders. free ones that is from the drain at the express way near my house. plenty of small ones there. Was wondering how to get them. Now i know. thanks again

umbrella "net" right?lol
can just picture someone trying a real umbrella :grinno:
bet it would work tho. :D

and no prob on idea.
i do this once or twice a week.
get dozens and dozens.
another good idea is get a few spots so you dont kill the population in one place.
i have many spots and switch out all the time.

i dont ever buy feeders,
and i feed,
20"+ silver aro
2 payaras
baracuda
p bass
2 jags

Not usually, carp are herbivores. And not around here :(

There are carp in many Florida rivers, bowhunted them in the Caloosahatchee river near the Ortona locks.

Also seen them in the Peace river, they are not native but they are all over Florida.

you are one lucky bloke and creative too. I have 7 asian arowanas, Koi's plus 10 hungy pacus and so you can imagine how much they munch thro the $$ each day. Feeders and mealworm for the Arrows, lots of pellet food for the vegan fishes.

Got to do the umbrella thing soon b4 it starts raining here...... Yah

just remember to check the feeders. i have seen them with ich and other things. dont wanna get free food and end up losing all the inhabitance in your tank lol
