Watch for the electric valve to leak (internally) in time.

I would expect it to eventually. I have a spare and made it really easy to swap out, so I got that part covered.

Thanks

Any chance you can post a how to on this? I'm looking to do this sometime.

Other than buying all of the right parts, the how to falls pretty much under the "Just put it together" category. I'd be more than happy to elaborate on the specifics though. All you have to do is ask.

Here is a drawing of how the system flows. Rather simple, but effective design.

Great system. How many tanks does it serve or is it just on the big one?

This setup provides water to the central setup, which is 400 or so gallons with 8 tanks, and also runs to my 2 x 55G setup. I will also be running a line to the 500 when that is going.

Sweet setup! So that lets the water in, but then is there an overflow setup or something the let water out of the tanks? Sorry if I missed something earlier in the thread.

Maybe I'm understanding this now? All your tanks are running off a central sump and then your auto change sytem is drawing and adding water from there?
