Nice work but ....

The issue will be when the 'letter carrier' decides not to like it, since its not approved they can make you remove it or refuse to deliver mail..

I had to remove a custom box back in the 80's.. they left a 'note' that it could hurt the postal worker, and mail would not be delivered until we supplied a box 'Approved by the Postmaster General'

been using it for a week or 2 already with no problems

that quality work, ive got a hole in my door for mail.

If you were worried about a kid hitting it with a baseball bat, just put up three mailboxes. Fill the outside two with concrete, and have the center one your normal one. Then when the little punks hit it, they break their arms.

a bat wouldnt do it... well it mightbut itd hurt the batters hands like all kinds of get out. but when I was just a boy, I definitely wouldve been out for that mailbox. probly woulda went a got a cinder block and had the driver up the speed I' m diggin your diy's had a lil free time to myself this eve, i never thought of harborfreight to get a pump GENIUS!!!!!!!!

So you don't have to take your letters to a post box...? That is so cool! I always thought it was for lazy people that didn't want to go to the letter box if there was nothing in there.
