I recently acquired two larger aquariums for free. A 115g peninsula style and a 260g and both are acrylic. The 115g is 50in x 24 x 24 and the 260g is 84in x 30 x 24. Yes, you read that right the 260g is 30in wide. While I was still in NY I designed a tank with these dimensions for a planted tank. So, to make room for the new tanks I broke down the two bowfront tanks and a 20g hex tank. I moved the 90g to the corner where the bowfronts were. I reclaimed the gravel mix and plants from the bowfronts and the 90g. The honey gouramis and zebra danios moved to the planted 55g, the angels, BNPs and raphaels stayed in the 90g, and the guppies moved into the guppy commune.
The next move will be the 29g rack either to the center of the room or gone altogether. The 55g rack will be moved to the corner where the 29g rack sits. The 260g will go against the wall where the 55g rack resides. The 115g will go perpendicular to the 260g in place of the 90g.
Now I really need to separate the fishroom onto its own electrical circuit.
I was gifted this monster today. He was housed in a 65g with 3 other Sev's and wouldn't leave them alone. So far only some curiosity checks from the green and gold. He is twice the size of the Gold and half again larger than the Green.
Somebody is going to have to be moved. The medium sev and the gold were locking lips this evening when I went to feed them. The largest would intervene but then the medium would turn on it.
